Terms of Service

1. Service Description

ShellPod ("we", "us", "our") provides persistent cloud environments for running Claude Code. Each customer receives a dedicated Linux container hosted on cloud infrastructure, accessible via a web-based terminal. ShellPod is operated by sobrienti.

2. Account and Eligibility

You must be at least 18 years old and provide a valid email address to create an account. You are responsible for maintaining the security of your account credentials and for all activity that occurs under your account.

3. Acceptable Use

You agree not to use ShellPod for any of the following:

  • Any illegal activities or violation of applicable laws
  • Cryptocurrency mining or any form of resource-intensive computation unrelated to software development
  • Abuse of shared infrastructure, including excessive CPU, memory, or bandwidth consumption beyond reasonable development use
  • Hosting public-facing production services or proxies from your container
  • Attempting to access other users' containers or the underlying host infrastructure
  • Distributing malware, phishing, or spam

We reserve the right to suspend or terminate accounts that violate these terms without prior notice.

4. Payment Terms

ShellPod offers the following subscription plans:

  • Monthly: $19 per month
  • Annual: $190 per year (save ~$38)

Both plans include a 7-day free trial. You will not be charged during the trial period. After the trial, your subscription will automatically renew at the applicable rate unless you cancel before the renewal date. All payments are processed securely through Stripe.

5. Cancellation and Refunds

You may cancel your subscription at any time from your dashboard. Upon cancellation, your container will be stopped at the end of the current billing period. Your data will be retained for 30 days following cancellation, during which time you may resubscribe to restore access. After 30 days, your container and all associated data will be permanently deleted.

We do not offer refunds for partial billing periods. If you cancel mid-cycle, you will retain access until the end of your current paid period.

6. Your Data

We store the following information:

  • Account information: your email address (managed by Clerk)
  • Billing information: payment details processed and stored by Stripe (we never store your card numbers)
  • Container data: files and configurations inside your cloud environment

We do not access, read, or log your code inside containers. We do not see or store your Anthropic API keys, session tokens, or any credentials you use within Claude Code.

7. Service Availability

ShellPod is provided on an "as-is" and "as-available" basis. We make reasonable efforts to maintain uptime and reliability, but we do not guarantee uninterrupted or error-free service. We are not liable for any data loss, downtime, or damages arising from your use of the service.

8. Limitation of Liability

To the maximum extent permitted by law, ShellPod and its operator shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages, including loss of profits, data, or business opportunities, arising from your use of or inability to use the service. Our total liability for any claim related to the service shall not exceed the amount you have paid us in the 12 months preceding the claim.

9. Intellectual Property

You retain full ownership of all code, files, and data you create or store within your ShellPod container. We claim no rights to your content. The ShellPod name, logo, and service are the property of their respective owner.

10. Modifications to Terms

We may update these Terms of Service from time to time. We will notify you of material changes at least 30 days before they take effect by sending an email to the address associated with your account. Your continued use of ShellPod after the effective date constitutes acceptance of the updated terms.

11. Termination

We may suspend or terminate your account at our discretion if we reasonably believe you have violated these terms. In the event of termination for cause, no refund will be issued. You may terminate your account at any time by canceling your subscription.
